I’ve bought a few new skincare items over the last couple of months that have fast become favourites, so I thought I’d share them with you today!
Vichy Pureté Thermale Foaming Water Cleanser $19.95 CAD
In the summer I really love using a foamy cleanser, but most of them are so drying. Not this one! It’s so light and fresh, and it’s actually soap-free too, which is why it’s not drying at all. It’s so gentle and leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized. And you need so little of it, so it lasts a long time. I love it a lot and will repurchase it for sure.
Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist $20 CAD
This is my second bottle of this stuff which means I really like it! I first bought it way back in March when I was visiting Marky in California. Boy was I happy to see that Shopper’s Drug Mart carries it here too. First off, the mist is nice and fine-no squirting. Nobody likes that, right? 😀 It has a light, fresh floral scent, nothing overpowering at all. It adds nice moisture back to my face after cleansing with hyaluronic acid plus loads of humectants and vitamins. I really like using Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist after my evening post zumba shower when it’s still too early to do my evening skincare. It leaves my face feeling soft without having to moisturize right away. You can use it to set any powder makeup as well. Love!
Murad Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment $26 CAD
Every time I go to California, my chin breaks out from the heat. When we moved Marky out of her apartment last month, it was 105F. And I was working hard and sweating A LOT. It’s no surprise that my chin decided to declare mutiny. This was a new product on the Murad shelf at Sephora with a big sign that said: Reduces blemish size and redness in as little as four hours. SOLD! It didn’t get rid of my zits in 4 hours, but it did make them look better, and more importantly, not get any worse. And no new ones cropped up either. It’s a gel that’s cooling when you apply it, which is kind of nice. And it dries really fast too. The main ingredient is 2% salicylic acid, but there’s also some pine and thyme extracts that help fight irritants while keeping your skin’s balance in check. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had some salicylic acids actually burn my skin a bit, so I’m always really cautious about using it. This stuff doesn’t irritate my skin whatsoever. Good stuff!
Have you bought any new skincare lately that you really like? Share!
Happy Friday everyone! Any fun plans this weekend? I’m finally going to get my hubby to help me clear out a nice space to exercise downstairs. There’s a lot of junk down there, like some old toys and crap that need to go. It’s time!
